Hi,

I downloaded the AX virtual machine to study for the one of the
certifications. In addition, I also downloaded Microsoft virtual PC and
everything seems to load ok.

The problem is that I can't get to the AOT. I have checked the services, and
they are running.

I do have the 4 types of licenses numbers, and I don't know where I can
check what type of license I have or which one the virtual machine is using.

If i click in windows (at the right side of the tool bar), I see the
"Developer Mode" option checked buy grayed out. In fact, I don't even see the
AOT icon anywhere and when I try ALT + D, nothing happens. Also, the menu
item "Command" is also grayed out.

Where can i start looking to solve the problem?

Hi,

You can check your license information in the following form:
Administration - Setup - System - License information.
You probably don't have the MorphX Dev or X++ license key filled in.

When you do, check the user permissions for your user group:
Administration - Setup - User groups - 'YourUserGroup' - button permissions
- tab permissions.
There should be a security key "Development" there that should be enabled
for you.

The button "developer" mode allows you to minimize/restore the content pane
so you can view multiple windows (like aot, projects, editor) in AX at the
same time.

Hope this helps,
Best regards,
Klaas.
